On Sunday, 30 April 2023, the Overseas Chapter of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh Singapore (OCIEBS) organized the long-sought Eid Reunion at the local civil service club at Bukit Batok. Though there was a shower in the evening, engineers and their families started arriving at the venue from 6 pm onwards. Soon the place became full of a vibrant gathering of about 150 pax networking with each other. His Excellency Mr Tauhedul Islam, ndc, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Singapore, was very kind to grace the event. OCIEBS Chairman. Engr Dr Arun Dev, delivered a welcome speech at around 7:30 pm thanking everyone to participate in the event, especially ladies for preparing various homemade food. H.E. High Commissioner delivered his speech emphasizing the various activities of Bangladeshi residents in Singapore who are the true ambassadors for Bangladesh in Singapore. The present and past management committees of OCIEBS are proud to organize this yearly get-together event for quite some time and hope to continue in the future. Office bearers of other Bangladeshi organizations in Singapore like SBS, BLLS, BLCF, BMC, etc. were also present at the event. Both homemade and catered sumptuous food items and soft drinks were served as buffet dinners. In the end, Engr Md Masudur Rahman, Vice Chairman of OCIEBS concluded the event with a vote of thanks. The Eid Reunion dinner ended at around 10 pm.
